First Free MOPS Home - First Free MOPS
MOPS provides a welcomed break; a chance to make new friends; the opportunity to know that you are not the only mom who goes through the struggles and joys of raising young children. MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love.
MOPS meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month(Sept.-May), from 9-11am at First Evangelical Free Church of Moline. Our first meeting is September 9th at 9 am. The church address is 3321 7th Street, Moline, IL, 61265.
At a typical meeting, moms can enjoy delicous refreshments, adult conversation, relevant speakers, fun crafts, a devotional, and meaningful "girl time."
The MOPS International theme for this year is Adventures in Mothering, and the metaphor is an amusement park. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to compare mothering to an amusement park, right? The ups and downs of each month, week, maybe even day are like a roller coaster. Running around in circles and feeling like we’re never getting anywhere is like a merry-go-round. You can probably come up with more similarities of your own! But it's not only about the kids. Mothering is an adventure in personal growth for every woman who undertakes this role.
Join us this year as we learn to be better moms and find ourselves in the adventure!
Childcare is available for children birth through age 6 in our fun-filled and nurturing MOPPETS program.
